    The General Council of the World Trade Organisation has reappointed Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala for a second term as its Director-General.

    Okonjo-Iweala’s new four-year tenure will commence on September 1, 2025.

    In a statement issued on Friday, Okonjo-Iweala appreciated the WTO’s 166 member nations for their continued trust and support.
