The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano has announced the suspension of Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), and Muhammad Diggol, the Commissioner of Transportation.
Hashim Sulaiman Dungurawa, the State party Chairman, confirmed this suspension, citing disloyalty, abuse of power, and disruption within the party as the reasons for the action
“We declare today that we have suspended SSG Abdullahi Baffa Bichi and the commissioner of transportation, Muhammad Diggol, due to their abuse of power, misuse of office, and disloyalty to the party.
“We commend the party leadership at the ward and local government levels for bringing the issue to our attention in written form. They all hail from Bichi North, and their confirmation has led us to this decision.
“As leaders of the party, we deliberated and concluded that this is the most appropriate action to take until we complete our investigation into the matter.”
There are indications of an escalating crisis within the NNPP in the Bichi area involving the party’s stakeholders.
