Superstar musician and designer Kanye West is under investigation for battery after confrontation with Driver filming him.
According to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, there’s video evidence of him grabbing a phone out of a woman’s hand on Jan. 27. A spokesperson said that upon arrival at the scene of the incidence, Sports Academy in the city of Thousand Oaks, police were provided with video evidence.
In the clip, Kanye west is seen standing peering into the woman’s driver side window, yelling, Stop with your cameras. She replies, “But you’re a celebrity,” and then Kanye can then be seen ripping the phone out of her hand and tossing it on the street.
The multi award-winning controversial rapper himself was not at the scene by the time the deputies arrived, but the spokesperson added that a crime report was taken, which will lead to further investigation of West by detectives. His legal team is yet to respond and the identity of the woman involved was not publicly disclosed.
