Second tier Zambian club Kashi-kiski Warriors have been slapped with an eight -match home ban and fined after their supporters assaulted a referee a week ago.
The FAZ Disciplinary Committee announced the verdict on June 27 in Lusaka and fined Kashikishi US$1,300.00.
On June 21, referee Joseph Nyirenda was left unconscious after Kashikishi fans attacked him for upholding visiting side Trident FC’s second half equaliser they alleged was scored from an offside position.
That match was abandoned at 1-1.
Kashikishi have also been ordered to pay Nyirenda’s medical expenses for the injuries he sustained during the incident.
