American actress Katie Holmes has made a rare statement about her teenage daughter, Suri Cruise.
A Daily Mail article claiming that Holmes’ 18-year-old daughter, whose father is Tom Cruise, is now a “millionaire” after being granted access to an alleged trust fund by Cruise, was screenshotted by Holmes.
The photograph shared on Holmes’s verified social media was captioned, “Completely false. You can quit making things up, daily mail.”
Holmes merely wrote, “Enough,” in the caption.
The Daily Mail was contacted by CNN for comment.
From 2006 until 2012, Holmes and Tom Cruise were wed. April 18, 2006, saw the birth of their daughter, their only child together.
Holmes and the teenager have mostly avoided the spotlight as the actress tries to preserve her daughter’s privacy.
The “Dawson’s Creek” actor sent her daughter birthday wishes on social media four years ago.
In the caption, Holmes wrote, “Happy Birthday, Sweetheart!” To be your mother is such a blessing. I hope we have an amazing year!
