Katsina State Governor in Northern Nigeria, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has approved a minor reshuffle of his cabinet to enhance the effectiveness of his administration’s “Building Your Future” agenda. The reshuffle aims to optimize the performance of key ministries within the state government.
In the reshuffle, Alhaji Malik Anas has been appointed as the new commissioner for the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning. Anas, who holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Bayero University, Kano, previously served as the state’s Accountant General and is a member of several professional bodies, including the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.
Alhaji Bello Husaini Kagara, who previously headed the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, will now lead the Ministry of Finance. Bashir Tanimu Gambo, the former finance commissioner, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
Additionally, Alhaji Yusuf Rabi’u Jirdede has been moved from the Ministry of Special Duties to the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Investment. Alhaji Adnan Nahabu will now take over the Ministry of Special Duties.
Governor Radda has urged all commissioners, particularly Alhaji Malik Anas, to align their ministries’ goals with the administration’s agenda and to serve the people of Katsina with excellence.
