The Governor of Katsina State, Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda, has commenced the distribution of 400,000 bags of fertiliser at a discounted rate to local farmers in preparation for this year’s farming season.
At the official launch ceremony held at the Katsina Government House on Monday, May 27, Governor Radda disclosed that the fertiliser, valued at over N20 billion, was acquired through a partnership between the state government and the 34 local government areas (LGAs).
The governor also supervised the distribution of motorcycles and knapsack sprayers to 772 local government staff designated as extension agents.
He restated his government‘s commitment to promoting agriculture and empowering communities across the state.
Governor Radda urged collective efforts towards building a prosperous and sustainable agricultural future, expressing confidence in overcoming challenges through collaboration and support.
