According to Egypt’s agricultural ministry, Kazakhstan is aiming to create a logistics hub at a Red Sea port in Egypt to assist it carry wheat and other products to Africa.
According to a government statement citing Kazakhstan’s envoy, the two nations are also considering agricultural cooperation and investment in addition to the project at Ain Sokhna port defined as a logistics zone for free trade.
Egypt, the world’s largest wheat importer, has acknowledged the central Asian country as one of its permitted wheat sources.
Russia and Ukraine, according to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation, are important worldwide food producers and exporters.
Russia is the world’s top wheat exporter, with Ukraine coming in fifth. They contribute 19 percent of the world’s barley, 14 percent of wheat, and 4% of maize, accounting for more than a third of worldwide cereal exports.
They also export 52 percent of the world’s sunflower oil, and Russia is the world’s biggest fertiliser manufacturer.
