”KELVYN BOY SNUBBING ME WAS NOT INTENTIONAl”

It took everyone by surprise when the Queen of Ghanian music had a collaboration with Kelvyn boy. Two weeks ago, the multi talented award winning Ghanian music queen; Wendy Shay dropped a new song which featured Blakkarm Group signee; Kelvyn Boy, and produced by Genius selection, titled ”Odo”,

Sometime last year in June, during the Shatta-Stone press conference, Kelvyn Boy allegedly snubbed the Rufftown Record artiste; Wendy Shay when he was called upon to join a group photo. He walked us to the podium, greeted Shatta Wale, Bullet, Stonebwoy, but not Wendy Shay, and when she made an attempt to greet him, he moved on to Shatta Wale to exchange pleasantries.

A lot of people saw the ‘MEA’ crooner as disrespectful, rude and proud. He, however, debunked the allegations by saying in an interview that it was not intentional, but the rift still didn’t stop, as fans and followers speculated that Kelvyn boy was always indirectly coming at Wendy Shay. One instance was when Kelvyn boy said on Luv FM that he would not engage in a feud with an artiste, referring to the issue with Wendy Shay.

About a year after, they both jumped on a collaboration, and “odo” came to being. Curious, Wendy Shay was asked at an interview on Okay FM what changed between her and Kelvyn boy,  because prior to the release of ”Odo”, Kelvyn boy and Wendy Shay, took her picture together, with his arms wrapped around her neck, so everyone kept wondering what changed between the duo.

Wendy revealed that Kelvyn boy tendered his apologies to her while they were in Italy last year for a show. In her words, ”We went for a show in Italy, and it was in the news that Bullet wanted to beat him. He came to apologize because of the way things were going, people were saying he didn’t do well, and he said he didn’t do it intentionally, he didn’t see me because it was in the heat of the moment… he thought it would be nice if he came to apologize. He was remorseful and I saw in his face he was really sorry, and I said let’s just squash everything”.

She also mentioned that Yaa Pono was instrumental to their coming together, ”…he came with Yaa Pono to apologise due to how much he was criticized”, The Queen of Ghana music said.
