One of Nollywood’s biggest movies is making yet another sequel. Ace Nigerian filmmaker and director Kemi Adetiba, broke the news that the much loved ‘King of Boys’ would be getting a third film.
42 year old Adetiba responded to a fan some days ago who said ‘need a new Kemi Adetiba movie’. That day, she responded with ‘COMING’ in all caps lock; she yesterday tweeted ‘KOB 3’ and tons of fans, Nollywood actors and entertainers are responding positively to the news.
Arguably One of Nollywood’s most successful films till date, KOB celebrated its one-year anniversary in August and truthfully it has built an army.
Recall that KOB became the first Nigerian original series to make it to the streaming platform Netflix, which was a sequel to the 2018 Nigerian crime political thriller film. While it had a stellar cast, veteran actor Sola Sobowale, Toni Tones, Musician Reminisce, OSAs ighodaro, RMD amongst others; it was the storyline and top-notch production that earned the films much attention. Adebita was also responsible for top box office film, Wedding party.
We can all agree, there’s much expectation and anticipation to see where Kemi Adetiba takes this new film. No further details are available online as to when and what to expect yet.
