Jarod Tyler Roberts, an American citizen allegedly found with three pellets of drugs in his rectum, is set to be formally charged this morning at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) court.
According to court documents, Roberts had checked into MP Shah Hospital in Westlands under the care of his friends, complaining of abdominal pain after allegedly ingesting substances suspected to be narcotics.

“Upon being admitted, he was placed under close observation with two police officers on guard,” the court documents state.
On February 18, medical personnel reportedly retrieved three pellets from his rectum through an endoscopy procedure. Later that same day, he expelled an additional pellet.
Today, police are expected to conclude the miscellaneous application and formally charge him with possession of the recovered drugs.
