The National Emergency Response Committee (NERC) has directed all members of the public seeking in-person government services to ensure they are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and have proof of vaccination.
While announcing these new directives, the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) in the Ministry of Health Dr Mercy Mwangangi said proof of vaccination will also be mandatory for admission to public places, such as parks, hotels restaurants, bars, domestic flights, trains and passenger service vehicles (PSVs).
Dr Mwangangi also said visitors from Europe must be vaccinated and show proof for the same.
Meanwhile, Kenya has reported 3,328 new infections from a sample size of 11,197 in the last 24 hours. According to Dr Mwangangi, the positivity rate is now at 29.7 per cent.
