Kenya Presidential Election Frontrunners Hold Final Rallies

Raila Odinga of the Azimio La Umoja and Deputy President William Ruto of the Kenya Kwanza parties have held their final rallies today as they go head-to-head in the Presidential polls on Tuesday.

Ruto held his rally at the 30,000-seater Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi and offered his final words before Kenyans before the election.

A former friend of the President, Uhuru Kenyatta, Ruto has pushed his candidacy mostly to the Kenyan youths, who are r surprisingly the minority statistically on the voters register.

The Deputy President had been penciled to be the successor of Kenyatta but a clash of egos ensured the President pitched tent with his agelong rival, Odinga.

At the 60,000 massive Kasarani Stadium, Odinga held his final rally as he wooed voters, many of whom were supporters of Kenyatta’s ruling Jubilee Party.

Previously regarded as a foremost opposition candidate and an anti-establishment politician, Odinga, the son of Kenya’s first Vice President, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga may be closer to his Presidential dream at the age of 77 and after five attempts.
