The residents of Mathira home in Nyeri County on Sunday flocked the DP’s residence as they were honoured with Christmas gifts. They received food items, among other donations.
Gachagua called on Kenyans to share with the less fortunate in society during this festive period.
He also called on Kenyans to maintain peace, cohesion and security during this festive season.
DP Gachagua was accompanied by his spouse, Second Lady Pastor Dorcas Rigathi.
“I want to urge all Kenyans to love each other. The festive season is a moment for people to share love, and that is why I have called my neighbours today so that we can eat together and share the little that we have. I want to urge all Kenyans to spread love and promote peace,” Gachagua said.
He added that this period if for doing good deeds.
Gachagua further reminded parents to be wise in spending money during the festivities ahead of the January school calendar.
“Don’t spend all your money during this period. Spend your money, keeping in mind that January is a month for paying school fees for your children. Set some aside from the one you are spending so that it can help you take your children to school,” he said.
“I would like to wish all Kenyans, especially those here, a Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year.”
The residents were filled with joy as they received the Christmas gifts.
