Police are holding a 25-year-old woman after she claimed her husband had killed himself through stab wounds in the chest in Machakos Town in Kenya.
The 26-year-old’s body was discovered on a sofa set long after his death.
The woman told police that the deceased died from stab wounds he inflicted on his chest with a kitchen knife.
The incident occurred on Sunday, March 10.
Police who arrived at the scene discovered the body seated on a sofa in a pool of blood, with a stab wound to the right side of his neck.
The probable murder weapon, a kitchen knife, was discovered and displayed as an exhibit.
The body was taken to Machakos Funeral Home for postmortem.
Police said they are keeping the woman to assist with the investigation into the incident.
The crew is currently investigating a homicide. However, the motivation remains unknown.
Police said it was only the two who were in the house at the time of the incident.

Police probe suicide incident of a woman in Kamulu
Meanwhile, police are investigating a suspected suicide incident of a woman whose body was found on a tree in Kamulu, Nairobi.
The body was Sunday found along Reflector Road, Green View area.
Police officers rushed to the scene and found the body of the woman and on a quick search, a national identity was found in the handbag the deceased had.
No suicide note was found.
Police are investigating if it was a case of suicide or murder staged as a suicide.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending investigation and autopsy.
