The police in Kenya have launched an investigation into the death of two Nigerians who died on Thursday, July 8, at a house party under unclear circumstances.
The deceased were among 15 Nigerians who gathered to mourn their compatriots who died a few days earlier – July 4.
One of the two fell from the 7th floor of the Skyhorse Apartment in Kilimani and died on the spot, while the other reportedly slumped on the kitchen floor and died.
Kilimani’s Officer Commanding Police Division (OCPD), Muturi Mbogo, on Tuesday, said the cause of deaths had not been determined by postmortem but drugs and alcohol were recovered at the party.
The police are also not ruling out foul play or poisoning while analysts and pathologists are looking at the exhibits.
According to him, only five attendees were at the house when the police arrived as the others fled following the tragedies.
Authorities have, however, arrested and detained three Kenyan women from Roysambu aged between 22 and 25 for questioning. The three ladies have been identified as Verah Osebe, Anastheni Manji, and Diana Moraa.
Police suspect the men were drugged by the three Kenyan ladies they had invited to the party to provide them with escort services.
