Kenyan authorities have arrested six teachers from a primary school in the country’s west following the widespread distribution of a video showing students simulating sexual actions while the teachers observe.
According to local media, the instructors in Nyamache, Kisii county, were arrested after education ministry officials saw the video and filed a complaint.
In the video, adults who appear to be instructors can be heard conversing and laughing aloud as someone records four boys dressed in school uniforms.
According to a police investigation, the video exposing the students in an obscene act looked to have originated at the school.
According to the statement, the six individuals were collaborating with investigations and will face appropriate penalties.
The video prompted outrage on social media, with many people demanding action.
“What they did can only be termed as barbarous, bestial, and insane. It has no justification whatsoever! Let them face the full force of the law,” one Kenyan tweeted.
