Speaker of Kenya’s National Assembly Justin Muturi has revealed he has received threats over his 2022 presidential bid.
This was shortly after officially announcing his 2022 presidential bid on Friday, September 10.
The National Assembly speaker said investigative agencies were on his neck after he declared his candidature.
He, however, said he won’t be intimidated and would soldier on with his statehouse journey.
The seasoned politician said he wouldn’t be deterred in his quest for the top job, insisting he was a ‘clean’ man.
He challenged those issuing threats to take legal action if they can prove he has committed any economic crime.
Muturi said Mt Kenya East residents had supported other regions for the presidency for a long time, and it was now their time to lead.
