The Managing Director of the Bank of Agriculture (BoA), Alwan Ali-Hassan, has regained freedom from his abductors after nine days in captivity.
Ali-Hassan was on March 28 kidnapped by terrorist-bandits who bombed the Abuja-Kaduna train with over 362 passengers.
Confirming the development, a senior official at the bank said, Ali-Hassan regained his freedom on Wednesday.
The official did not specify if any ransom was paid to his abductors. He said family and friends of the bank’s managing director are grateful to God for his release.
He said: “We are grateful to God for his release and we pray never to witness this. We also pray others get released soon”.
There has been no official confirmation from Kaduna state government or the state police command as at press time.
