Kylian Mbappe scored two goals in a practice match, marking his return to action following a broken nose suffered in France’s Euro 2024 opener.
Wearing a protective mask, he participated in the entire match, comprising two 30-minute halves, against the under-21 team of German club Paderborn.
Despite being France’s captain, Mbappe remained on the bench for the goalless draw against the Netherlands on Friday, following his injury sustained against Austria on Monday.
In the behind-closed-doors friendly on Saturday, the 25-year-old played alongside his fellow teammates, registering two assists along with his goals.
France is set to face Poland in their final Group D match in Dortmund on Tuesday.
