Kylian Mbappe has verbally agreed to join Real Madrid when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in the summer.

The contract has not yet been signed, but all of the details are already in place, with the French superstar expected to earn an unbelievable £13 million per year in Spain.

Liverpool and Arsenal were reportedly interested in bringing the 2018 World Cup winner to the Premier League.

However, Mbappe’s desire to join Real Madrid is well known, as is the Spanish club’s interest in the 25-year-old.

PSG have insisted that no concrete decision on Mbappe’s future has been made, and that he could sign a new deal to stay put.

However, it is currently reported that a deal has been reached in which Mbappe will officially join Real Madrid in the summer.

Mbappe is expected to earn roughly £13 million per year [€15 million] in basic salary at the Bernabeu, with his free transfer including a £128 million [€150 million] signing-on fee.

That massive bonus will be paid out over the course of five years, with Mbappe signing a five-year contract in the Spanish city.

Mbappe is PSG’s all-time leading scorer, with 244 goals and 93 assists in 291 matches since joining from Monaco in 2017. He was an 18-year-old wonderkid when he joined PSG for £166 million [€180 million], but after seven seasons at the Parc des Princes, he has developed into one of the world’s best footballers.

While he has won five Ligue 1 titles in his own country, his career highlight to far has been winning the World Cup with France in 2018, where he scored in the final against Croatia and was named the tournament’s young player at the age of 19.
