Lagos BRT Accident Leaves Several Passengers Injured

At least ten passengers were hurt when a fully loaded, high-capacity Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) bus overturned inside the designated BRT lane at Iyana Ipaja, Lagos.

According to an update from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), the collision happened soon after the bus left the BRT park at Iyana Ipaja.

According to the agency, the bus tipped over onto its side after it struck an abandoned pedestrian footbridge just after the Iyana Ipaja bridge. The authorities reportedly treated all of the victims and reported that they had received the appropriate medical care.

LASTMA officials arrived quickly on the scene to control the situation and ensure the victims received prompt medical attention.

The accident has significantly disrupted traffic in the area. Efforts are ongoing to remove the vehicle and restore normal traffic flow.

Motorists and commuters are advised to exercise caution and follow traffic directives as authorities work to resolve the situation.
