The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has emphasised the crucial role of professionalism among its cadet officers in effectively managing traffic, and serving the motoring public across the state.
Hon. Sola Giwa, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, stressed the importance of maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism during a three-day training course for LASTMA Cadet Officers at the Foursquare International Conference Centre in Orisunbare, Idimu, Lagos.
Giwa said values such as integrity, honesty, impartiality in applying the law, and respectful treatment of all citizens and colleagues, especially in challenging situations.
Also present at the event, Mr. Olalekan Bakare Oki, the General Manager of LASTMA, restated the purpose of the training, which aims to equip officers with the latest traffic management techniques, strategies, and best practices.
He reminded the officers of the importance of providing exceptional service to Lagos State residents while fostering career development opportunities.
During the event, a cadet officer expressed gratitude on behalf of attendees, acknowledging the Lagos State Government for the training opportunity and pledging to maintain LASTMA’s standards while carrying out their responsibilities to the general public.
