The family of AKA’S late fiancé, The Tembe’s have sued the NPA, National Prosecuting Authority in Western Cape following their accusations that the late rapper was responsible for their daughter, Anele “Nellie” Tembe death.
The family believes that the rapper pushed or threw her from the balcony of their hotel room at the Pepperclub Hotel in Cape Town two years ago. The Tembe’s also say there was ample evidence to have furthered the case in court and alleged that the NPA fabricated evidence against their case.
The allegations including that AKA partied with his entourage following her death were contained in a shocking letter sent through the Tembe family lawyer to the NPA after they confirmed they wouldn’t be prosecuting AKA for Anele’s death and would instead hold an inquest.
A reputable South African news outlet, City Press reported that AKA and Tembe were heard arguing in the hotel and a witness claimed Tembe told AKA to leave her alone moments before her “fall”. Tembe reportedly fell to her deathfrom the 10th floor of the Pepperclub Hotel in Cape Town in April 2021.
