Libya's AGOCO restores 2,900 bpd output

Libya’s Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO) says it has resumed production of 2,900 barrels per day at a long-abandoned well in the Messla field in the east of the country -this follows a 40-year activity cease at the National Oil Corporation (NOC)’s subsidiary.

According to oil services firm, Schlumberger, the oil field H54065 well was restored using drilling techniques developed by the U.S and now produces 2,900 barrels of oil per day.

Currently, the entire country produces 1.1 million barrels of oil per day.

The proceeds of the crude oil sale had been channeled to the Central Bank of the Tripoli based government.
