Egyptian authorities have announced arrests and the recovery of stolen goods after the home of Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah in Egypt was burgled by his own employee.

According to a statement from Egypt’s interior ministry, Salah’s property burglars have been detained.

The burglary was not found until March 12 with the villa vacant. Since then, the Egyptian Ministry of Interior has verified that one of the suspects detained was already employed as a security guard in the apartment building where Salah resides.

Knowing the villa was unlocked, he acknowledged that he and a companion had decided to enter through the back wall to steal from it.

A number of sports shoes, a silver medal, a piece of crystal, and several television receivers were among the stolen items, according to Egyptian police, who also verified that all of them had been recovered.

The player’s cousin happened to pass by the property and noticed that it had been infiltrated, which led to the initial reports that the Liverpool forward’s Cairo home had been burglarized.

According to reports, the house was a mess and had satellite receivers missing. In an effort to figure out what occurred, security personnel were questioned and security cameras were examined.

Salah is set to feature for Liverpool tonight in a Champions League encounter against Real Madrid. His Liverpool side are looking to claw back from a 5-2 first leg loss at Anfield.
