Lobi Stars head coach, Daniel Amokachi, has called his team’s 1-0 loss to Remo Stars in their NPFL Matchday 10 encounter “unfortunate.” The Makurdi-based squad showed strong effort at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State, creating several scoring chances but struggling to convert them.
Missed opportunities by Ossy Martins and Jimmy Iteji left the team unable to secure a point, with Michael Ibe’s second-half header sealing the win for the home side.
Despite the result, Amokachi commended his players’ adaptation to his tactical approach.“We played a 4-5-1 formation away from home, and it suits us very well. When you play like that, you need to be focused 120%, but when you go to sleep, you get punished,” he said, acknowledging the players’ improvement under his coaching style.
Looking ahead, Amokachi is focused on refining the team’s play, promising to address weak areas and prepare his players for their next fixture against Abia Warriors at the Lafia City Stadium on Matchday 11.
