‘Love Crime’: Ugandan Police Begin Investigation on Sironko Man’s Murder

Police in Uganda Reports The Murder of Sironko Man (News Central TV)

Police authorities in Sironko, Uganda on Tuesday reported a case where a 36-year-old peasant man was beheaded by criminals for extramarital affairs. According to the Police, investigation has commenced on the matter.

Preliminary statements form the Police indicate that David Wafula’s headless body was discovered in Bumasikye Village in Sironko, a region located in Eastern Uganda.

“David Wafula’s head was chopped off, probably using a panga, by unknown people who accused him of loving a married woman in the village of Bumasikye,” Elgon Regional Police spokesperson Rogers Taitika said.

“It is alleged that at an unknown time, the deceased left home to go and take alcohol, but it was at around 11 pm (local time) when the killers hacked him to death as he was heading home,” The police added.

In response to the situation, law enforcement officers have requested that citizens remain composed while they attempt to gather more information in order to determine what steps should be taken next.
