After being injured in a hit-and-run motorcycle accident in Kenya‘s capital city of Nairobi, a lawmaker from that country passed away while seeking medical attention at a hospital.
Kullow Maalim Hassan served as a second-term member of parliament for Kenya’s northeastern Banisa seat.
His relatives confirmed to local media that the Lawmaker was struck on Saturday by a motorcycle rider going too fast. Tuesday night, his death was officially declared.
On social media, lawmakers have been praising their colleague. “Maalim was a dedicated and committed public servant,” said Kimani Ichung’wah, the majority leader in parliament.
“Kulow was a good person and particularly dedicated to his oversight as well as other parliamentary duties,” said Kibwezi West MP Mwengi Mutuse.
