French President Emmanuel Macron has shared a series of AI-generated deepfake videos of himself to promote the upcoming AI Action Summit, which kicks off in Paris on Monday.
In one clip, Macron is seen dancing to the 1980s French hit “Voyage Voyage” by Desireless. Another video places him in a spy comedy featuring actor Jean Dujardin, while a third shows him rapping and showcasing dance moves reminiscent of French artist Nekfeu.
“Nicely done,” the real Macron says in the video, dressed in a suit and tie.
“It’s pretty well done; it made me laugh,” he adds, acknowledging the deepfake clips that have been created over the years and featured in his Instagram post.

Despite the lighthearted nature of the clips, Macron used the opportunity to highlight AI’s transformative potential.
“With artificial intelligence, we can do some incredible things—revolutionise healthcare, energy, and society,” the 47-year-old president stated.
He also emphasised the importance of France and Europe playing a central role in shaping AI advancements while upholding their values and principles.
On Monday and Tuesday, Macron will host the AI Action Summit in Paris, bringing together world leaders, with India co-chairing the event.
The video concludes with one of the most famous AI parodies of Macron, depicting him as the resourceful action hero MacGyver.
“There, that’s definitely me,” he jokes.
By Sunday afternoon, the Instagram post had garnered over 73,000 likes. Some users initially suspected Macron’s account had been hacked, while others praised his playful approach.
“A cool president,” one comment read.
