On Wednesday, an earthquake of magnitude 5.6 hit the Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan.
Confirming the incident, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, EMSC said the earthquake occurred at a depth of 121 kilometres (75 miles), with the epicentre 164 kilometres east of Baghlan, a city of around 108,000 people.

EMSC reported that the earthquake hit a magnitude of 6.4 but later revised it to 5.6.
Wednesday’s earthquake was part of a series of tremors that have recently shaken several regions across Asia.
