The report of last Tuesday’s explosion at Dejo Oyelese Close in Bodija, Ibadan has been presented to President Bola Tinubu.
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State presented the comprehensive report at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja at the weekend.
The president had commiserated with the government and people of Oyo state following the incident. He also directed the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) “to work with the Oyo state government to offer immediate and comprehensive relief to the victims.”
President Tinubu equally called on all concerned agencies of government to make a concerted effort to unravel the circumstances that led to the tragedy at Adeyi Avenue, Bodija, Ibadan.
Governor Makinde thanked the President for his support following the incident, noting that the Oyo State government would offer aid and relief to victims of the blast. It also promised to fish out and punish those responsible for the accident.
