The first legs of the first round of Africa’s qualifiers for the 2020 Women’s Olympic Tournament saw Mali and Congo take full advantage.
At the Mamadou Konate Stadium in Mali, the hosts beat the Moroccan ladies in Bamako 3-1. Goals from Salimata Diarra (3’), Aissata Traore (10’), and Diarra with her brace (53’).
The Moroccans got a consolatory goal by Najat Badri (54’), but the game ended 3-1 in

Malawi will take on Mozambique and Algeria against Chad today. Tomorrow will see Tanzania against DRC and Botswana versus Namibia
Zambia and Cote d’Ivoire have already qualified for the next round following the withdrawal of their opponents.
The second round will see the inclusion of Nigeria, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Kenya, Zimbabwe, and South Africa into the competition.
