Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola remains composed despite the team’s poor form, assuring fans that the club will recover.
City were held to a 1-1 draw by Everton on Boxing Day at the Etihad, a result that extended their dismal run to just one win in their last 13 matches.
“Manchester City will be back,” Guardiola declared in a confident statement on the club’s website titled “Guardiola Determined to ‘Change the Dynamic’.”
Ahead of his 500th match in charge, a crucial clash against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Sunday, Guardiola stressed the importance of staying calm and focused.
“Sometimes it’s easy to fix, sometimes it takes time,” he admitted. “We’ll go to Leicester, always a tough place, but the players will be ready.”
Guardiola acknowledged the frustration but praised his team’s performance against Everton and vowed to continue working towards improvement.
“Our success comes from persistence – we’ll try again,” he said.
