Marcus Rashford has dismissed as “ridiculous” rumours suggesting that the unsettled Manchester United star is seeking a new agent to arrange a move away from Old Trafford.
A report earlier this week claimed the England forward had met with a leading sports agency to discuss a potential transfer.
The 27-year-old had hinted at being open to a “new challenge” during an interview last month after experiencing reduced playing time under new manager Ruben Amorim.
A product of United’s youth academy, Rashford was excluded from four consecutive matchday squads last month, starting with the Manchester City derby, and was an unused substitute in Monday’s loss to Newcastle.
Rashford’s recent struggles have extended over two seasons, with the forward scoring just four Premier League goals so far this term. Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea have reportedly shown interest in the player.
However, Rashford, who is currently managed by his brother Dwaine Maynard, refuted the claims about his future. On Instagram, he stated: “There have been a lot of false stories written over the past few weeks, but guys, this is getting ridiculous – I have never met with any agency and have no plans to.”
