Meet Some of Ghana’s Finest

Ghana is blessed with some of Africa’s most beautiful ladies. A lot of them have ventured into the Ghanaian movie industry and are not only doing great in their career but also making heads turn. Here are a few of them in Ghana’s movie industry.

Jackie Appiah



Jackie is a Canada-born Ghanaian actress. As an actress, she has received several awards and nominations, including the awards for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 2010 Africa Movie Academy Awards; and Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2007. She received two nominations for Best Actress in a Leading Role and Best Upcoming Actress at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2008. Appiah’s face can be seen on many billboards and TV commercials in Ghana including a GSMF advert on protection against HIV AIDS. She won the face of U.B in a promotion she did for them on TV commercials and she is currently the face of IPMC for commercials and billboards. “GSMF ” was her first TV commercial.

Joselyn Dumas

Not only does she have a pretty face but a beautiful figure to go with. She is a Ghanaian television host and actress. In 2014 she starred in A Northern Affair, a role that earned her a Ghana Movie Award and an Africa Movie Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.
Her role in Perfect Picture, made a lasting impression on the director which led to subsequent key roles in other movies. Her big break came two years later in the Shirley Frimpong-Manso movie series Adams Apples. The role of “Jennifer Adams” in Adams Apples got her nominated for Best Actress in a lead role alongside Hollywood Actress Kimberly Elise at the 2011 Ghana Movie Awards.

Nadia Buari

A beauty queen and mother to four beautiful children, Nadia isn’t just a pretty face with a great body, she’s also a great actress. She plays every role like it is a real life situation.
She received two nominations for Best Actress in a leading role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2009.


Yvonne Okoro

She received Ghana Movie Awards Best Actress Award in 2010 and was nominated for Africa Movie Academy Awards Best Actress twice in a row in 2011 and 2012 for her movies Pool Party and Single Six. She has also received four Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award and in 2012 was honored with a Distinguished Achievement Award at the Nigeria Excellence Awards.
