Mohammed Kudus Adjudged 2023 Ghana Footballer of the Year (News Central TV)

Mohammed Kudus of the Ghana Black Stars and Ajax was named Footballer of the Year at the fifth edition of the Ghana Football Awards. 

The Accra International Conference Centre hosted an awards ceremony on June 25, 2023 that recognised thriving football stars as well as legends who have contributed to the development of Ghanaian football.  

Kudus, who had a fantastic season with the Dutch giants, beat out Genk’s Joseph Paintsil and RC Lens’ Salis Abdul Samed to win the top prize on the night. 

The Ajax striker succeeds Alexander Djiku, who won the award at the fourth edition of the annual awards ceremony.  

On the local front, Medeama SC coach Evans Adotey was named Best Coach of the Year, while Moses Armah Parker, also of Medeama, was named Club CEO of the Year. 

Medeama SC was named Best Male Team of the Year, and Ampem Darkoa was named Best Female Team of the Year.
