Mohbad: Lagos Police to Exhume Body for Investigation (News Central TV)

Lagos State Police Commissioner, Mr. Idowu Owohunwa, has initiated a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic passing of Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, on September 12 in Lagos. This inquiry comes as Nigerian celebrities and devoted fans of Mohbad have taken to the streets to demand justice for the late artist.

Heading this investigation is a 13-member Special Investigation Team led by Assistant Commissioner of Police, Saheed Kassim. The team has been tasked with various responsibilities, including the exhumation of Mohbad’s body, conducting an autopsy, and performing toxicology and histology tests, as stated by Owohunwa.

This Special Investigation Team has been strategically divided into four sub-teams, each focusing on distinct aspects such as forensic analysis, technical examination, medical assessments, and practical investigations.

During the inauguration of the team, Owohunwa emphasized that these actions are being taken in the best interest of public justice. He expressed the complexity of the homicide investigation and commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to providing the necessary support for a comprehensive and professionally conducted inquiry.

The Special Investigation Team includes DEP. ACP Saheed Kassim – Head of Investigation, DET. CSP Cris Onyeisi – Team leader, DET. SP Masta Alh. Bunu – Team leader, DET. SP Ibrahim A. Yusuf – Team leader, DET. DSP Ahnmed Abdullahi – Team leader, DET. ASP Oderinde Galfar – Member, DET. ASP Alabi Bolanle – Member, DET. ASP Mohammed Yusu – Member, DET. INSPR. Adesina Adefisayo – Member DET. INSPR. Ameh Michael – Member, DET. INSPR. Oisa Roseline – Member, DET. INSPR. Mayowa Owoeye – Member, DET. INSPR. Babatunde Victor – Member.

The forensic team is led by DET. CSP Ayitu Akpama with DET. INSPR Elizabeth Olokode and DET. INSPR Queen Agofure as members.

The investigation’s objectives include consolidating all allegations, suspicions, and insights from various sources, deploying essential forensic and technical resources, and identifying all individuals potentially linked to the case, including witnesses.

As this investigation unfolds, it raises questions that demand answers, seeking to shed light on the circumstances that led to the untimely demise of Mohbad.
