Morocco’s national football team defeated Angola 1-0 in a friendly match played Friday evening in Agadir’s Grand Stadium.
The Atlas Lions dominated the game from start to finish, but they had to wait until the 71st minute for the first goal, which came from Angolan defender David Carmo accidently putting the ball into his own net.
Despite this narrow victory, the national team, which was significantly reshuffled with the inclusion of Real Madrid star Brahim Diaz and AS Monaco player Eliesse Ben Seghir, performed admirably against a well-organized Angolan defence.
Morocco will play another friendly match against Mauritania on March 26 in the same city.
