Morocco have secured a place in the final of the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, where they will clash with South Africa.

The Young Atlas Lions edged past Egypt with a narrow 1-0 victory to book their spot. Substitute Jones El Abdellaoui netted the decisive goal in the 77th minute, calmly finishing off a well-placed cross from Ismaël Aouad.

Earlier, South Africa earned their ticket to the final with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Nigeria in the first semi-final on Thursday. Tylon Smith scored the match-winner with a well-placed header in the 66th minute, capping off a tense encounter.

The defeat ended the Flying Eaglets’ dream of clinching an eighth U-20 AFCON title. They will now face tournament hosts Egypt in the third-place playoff for the bronze medal.
