According to recent information from the Foreign Exchange Office, Morocco‘s tourism profits at the end of October totaled $6.74 billion.

In comparison to the same period in 2022, the figure indicates an increase of $4 billion. Additionally, the numbers were higher than the mark set at the end of October 2019 ($6.35 billion).

The latest numbers show that the tourist industry, which has been one of the most adversely affected by the COVID-19 problem, is still recovering.

At the end of October, tourism expenditures were at a lower level than in 2018 and 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the end of October 2022, the travel balance increased by almost threefold from $1.88 billion the previous year to billion $5.46 billion.

Fatim Zahra Ammor, Morocco’s minister of tourism, reported last month that the country’s tourist sector had recovered at a rate of 80% by the end of October, higher than the global average of 70%.
