South African coach, Pitso Mosimane will return to Mamelodi Sundowns in the quarterfinal of the CAF Champions League after his defending winners side, Al Ahly drew the 2017 champions.
Mosimane had previously led Premier Soccer League side, Sundowns to both domestic and continental glory before electing to join Ahly and helping them win a previously elusive 9th CAF Champions League trophy.
In other fixtures, South Africa’s other representatives, Kaizer Chiefs will face Tanzania’s SC Simba, MC Alger will face Wydad Casablanca, and CR Belouizdad will play against Esperance of Tunisia.
The CAF Champions League is Africa’s biggest football club cup competition.
In the CAF Confederations Cup, Nigeria’s Enyimba drew Pyramids of Egypt, Orlando Pirates against Raja Casablanca, Coton Sport against ASC Jaraaf and CS Sfaxien will face JSKabylie in an all North African contest.
