Mozambique, UAE to Expand Ties in Key Sectors

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Mozambique are in discussions to expand their diplomatic and economic relations.

The matter was brought to light Tuesday when His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, met with Mozambican Prime Minister Carlos Agostinho do Rosário at the country’s pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that both countries have strong bilateral relations and are committed to enhancing their cooperation in a number of vital sectors.

Their discussion focused on exploring new avenues of cooperation across key sectors, including investment, to serve the developmental goals of both countries.

Mozambique’s Prime Minister emphasized the strong ties between his country and the UAE, thanking His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum for warm hospitality.

Both countries’ leaders expressed their desire to boost bilateral relations to greater heights and their strong relationship with each other.

Mozambique’s Prime Minister Carlos Agostinho do Rosário commended Expo 2020 Dubai’s outstanding organization, which is taking place for the first time in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia regions. Global leaders will discuss ways to create a more prosperous future for humanity during the mega event, he said.

Among those attending the meeting were Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director-General of Expo 2020 Dubai, Sheikh Shakhbout Bin Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State, and Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Group Chairman and CEO of DP World.
