A new collaboration has been announced that is set to excite fans across the globe. Nigerian artistes and music business entrepreneur, Mr Eazi and Kenyan born DJ, DJ Edu have joined forces to form a new music group called Choplife Soundsystem.
Choplife Soundsystem is a new Pan-African music group that takes its name from the popular West African pidgin slang phrase “chop life,” which means “enjoy life to the fullest.” The group also pays homage to the traditional sound systems that are the backbone of Jamaican music culture.
Mr Eazi has announced that further details about Choplife Soundsystem, including new music releases, partnerships, and live events, will be revealed later this Spring.
In a recent interview with Forbes Africa, Mr Eazi revealed he has also founded something called Chop Life Ministries, an initiative that aims to bring the experience of electronic dance music festival Tomorrowland to fans across the African continent. The festival, which had a massive turnout in Rwanda and Sweden, saw Mr Eazi act as host and MC.
Eazi also spoke about his upcoming album, “Chop Life Volume One,” which is set to drop on March 31st 2024
