MTN Nigeria, Pan-Atlantic University Launch Media Innovation Programme

The MTN Media Innovation Programme (MIP), which will be overseen by PAU’s School of Media and Communication, has been announced by MTN Nigeria and Pan-Atlantic University (PAU) (SMC).

The fully funded six-month fellowship for Nigerian media professionals aims to assist the country’s burgeoning media sector thrive in the long run. Content creators from print, electronic, internet platforms, and social media are all encouraged to submit.

The goal of the course is to provide participants a greater understanding of Nigeria’s technology economy and the media-technology nexus, as well as a better capacity to adapt to changing conditions. SMC academic mentorship and professional resources will also be available to fellows.

During the opening ceremony, Karl Toriola, CEO of MTN Nigeria, said, “It’s a pleasure to partner with Pan-Atlantic University, whose experience has contributed to the professional growth of the media business, not just in Nigeria but across Africa.”

The MTN Media Innovation Programme could not have arrived at a better moment for Nigerian journalists to adopt these important ideals “Vice Chancellor of Pan-Atlantic University Professor Enase Okonedo remarked.

Twenty (20) selected candidates will be able to take the course, which is entirely funded by MTN Nigeria.
