Odinga, considered one of the front-runners in the 9 August presidential elections, had paid a courtesy call on President Museveni.

Odinga tweeted; “We walked down memory lane to discuss the shared history of our countries aimed at forging stronger ties moving into the future. That formed the core of a pleasant discussion with President @KagutaMuseveni at Statehouse in Entebbe, Uganda.”

Recall, News Central earlier reported that the kenyan presidential candidate was in South Sudan, where he met President Salva Kiir and commissioned the 3.6km Freedom Bridge that is expected to ease the transportation of goods across the River Nile.

Kenya’s presidential election will include a record-breaking 55 contenders.

Another front-runner, Deputy President William Ruto of the Kenya Kwanza alliance, is expected to give him a tough fight.

Kenya’s elections are significant in the area because it serves as a gateway for imports to landlocked nations like Uganda, South Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The region would be apprehensive of a tumultuous election, such to the one that wreaked havoc on the economy in 2007.
