Welcome to Muziki Top 10 chart for the week. As usual, we bring you amazing songs that are making waves across the African continent and beyond. Here is a list of the top 10 songs that are selling like hotcakes across the continent
Number 10: Melissa – Shatta Wale
The multiple award-winning Ghanaian dancehall artiste has given us something to dance and vibe to throughout the remaining months of 2019. Melissa which audio is already on youtube is gradually turning to everybody’s favourite, not just in Ghana but Africa as a whole. Melissa is number 10 on this week’s edition of Muziki Top 10 chart.
Number 9: Ololo – Stonebwoy ft Teniola
On our chart again for this week is Ololo by Stonebwoy featuring Teni. Ololo comes just a few months after the Ghanaian Dancehall artiste released ‘Tuff Seed’. The duo delivered their parts excellently to make ‘Ololo’ a monster hit that is played on repeat by music lovers.
The song was produced by one of the finest Ghanian producers, Prinx Pappi. The video which was directed by Prince Dovlo can best be described as breathtaking with wonderful performances from Stonebwoy and the ‘Makanaki’ crooner.

Number 8: Ykhalik LiIi- Saad Lamjarred
Taking it all the way down to North Africa is the Moroccan-Arabic Pop singer, Saad Lamjarred on this one titled Ykhalik Lili. Lamjarred came to limelight after the release of his song ‘Lm3allem’ which garnered over 770 million views on youtube and is credited to be the highest viewed Arabic song on YouTube.
Ykhalik Lili is already pulling much streaming and views on music platforms and Youtube respectively. As a matter of fact, it already has 38 million views already. With its melodic, acoustic intro and the strong follow-up beat, the song indeed deserves a place at the top.
Number 7: Doyin – Mr Eazi ft Simi
Mr Eazi and Simi’s collaboration can never go wrong. We all know that whatever the duo dishes out, either individually or jointly is ‘a hit’. Little wonder ‘Doyin’ became an instant success. Mr Eazy’s easily-flowing lines and Simi’s well-rendered part did all the magic.
Number 6: Gum Body – Burna Boy ft Jorja Smith
Just like Midas, anything Burna Boy touches, whether with his hands or voice instantly turns to gold. Such is the case with Gum body by the African Giant featuring 22-year-old British singer and songwriter, Jorja Smith. The song which has already reached 6 million views on YouTube since its release a month ago, has got many, singing along as it is played.

Number 5: Yo Pe Remix – Innoss’B ft Diamond Platinum
On our number 5 for this week is Yo Pe by the Congolese music sensation Innoss’B featuring East Africa’s afrobeat Legend, Diamond Platinumz. The Makossa-influenced Yo Pe has already put Innoss B on the list of Central African Artistes to look out for. It continues to enjoy wide acceptance from fans of both Innoss’B and Diamond Platinumz.
Number 4: 49-99 – Tiwa Savage
Arguably, the most successful female artiste in Nigeria of all time, Tiwa Savage has proven that the music industry has enough space for everybody to excel irrespective of gender. 49-99 is Tiwa Savage’s first single since leaving her former label, Mavin Records. The much-publicised 49-99 did not fall short of expectations when it was finally released by the talented songstress.

In one of her interviews, the ‘Kele Kele Love’ crooner disclosed that 49-99 was written by Olamide and Pheels, with Pheels producing the song. When asked about the inspiration behind the unique title of the song, the former Mavin Records member revealed it came from one of Fela’s songs called ‘Suffering and Smiling’. Just like the title, the video of the song is also unique with its vintage touch.
Number 3: Gugulethu – Prince Kaybee ft Indlovukazi, Supta & Afro Brothers
Gugulethu makes the 3rd position on our top 10 countdown for the week. The rainbow nation is remarkable for producing artistes who make the sort of music you listen and say – yes this is different; this is South Africa! From the infusion of their unique native languages in the songs to the often-colourful videos. If it is coming from South Africa, then it feels and sounds African.
Number 2: Ghetto Love – Wizkid
One cannot rightly make a list of top 10 songs in Africa without adding Ghetto Love. It is simply not acceptable! Like most Wizkid’s songs, ghetto Love has refused to dim its light for any other song to shine brighter. In fact, not even Wizkid’s latest single Joro could put Ghetto Love off from the scene. It continues to enjoy both audio and video commercialities. Kudos to StarBoy for always making fans proud!
Number 1: Blow My Mind – Davido ft Chris Brown
Almost after 3 months of its release, Blow My Mind still hold everybody spellbound. The song justifies the massive publicity it got from both Davdo and Chris Brown before it was unleashed. From the look of things, Blow My Mind will continue its dominance until the end of the last quarter of 2019.
