    Naira Continues to Strengthen Against the Dollar

    The naira made further gains against the dollar on Tuesday, strengthening in both the official and parallel foreign exchange markets.

    According to FMDQ data, the naira appreciated to N1,544.05 per dollar on Tuesday, up from N1,545.10 on Monday, marking a gain of N1.05.

    Similarly, on the black market, the naira rose to N1,675 per dollar on Tuesday from N1,680 on Monday.

    Rising FX Supply Boosts Naira's Value Against Dollar

    This follows a trend over the past two days, during which the naira has strengthened against the dollar.

    The appreciation comes as the Senate, on Tuesday, moved to ban the use of foreign currencies such as the dollar, with the bill successfully passing its first reading.
