2019 breakout musicians, Zlatan Ibile and Naira Marley have launched record labels after enjoying a successful year in music.
The duo, came into the spotlight riding the ‘Zanku’ wave which dominated African pop music last year. Releasing singles which defined the wave, Zlatan and Marley meteorically rose.
The two have announced new music companies designed to house their work and also sign new artists in the hopes of creating the next generation of superstars.
Zlatan’s company is named Zanku records, after the pop culture movement that assisted his breakthrough. He is yet to announce any new act signed to him.
Naira Marley aptly named his firm ‘Marlian Records’ and has signed four new artistes—Zinoleesky, Mohbad, Cblack, and Fabian—to his music imprint.
The ‘Marlian’ president presented the four artistes on stage for the first time during his show, ‘Marlians Fest’ which held at Eko Hotels & Suites, Lagos in last December.
