Namibia has recorded 249 new Covid-19 cases, Deputy Minister of Health and Social Services, Ester Muinjangue announced on Sunday.
She said the country also recorded 112 new recoveries and three deaths.
Of the new cases, 136 are women and 113 men.
The youngest new case is a month old and the oldest is 81.
Muinjangue said Windhoek recorded the highest number of new cases with 206, followed by Eenhana with 12, Walvis Bay with eight, and Otjiwarongo and Okahandja with four.
Oshakati has three new cases, Onandjokwe, Keetmanshoop and Rehoboth have two each and Grootfontein, Swakopmund, Tsumeb, Lüderitz, Nankudu and Katima Mulilo one each.
Two more Windhoek residents and one Keetmanshoop resident have died.
Namibia now has 7365 confirmed Covid-19 cases, 72 deaths and 2929 recoveries.
Muinjangue said a total of 60065 tests have been conducted in Namibia since March.
Of that number, 33 804 (56%) have been conducted in August alone. A total of 5236 tests were confirmed as positive in August, which represents 71% of the cumulative number of confirmed cases.
